Fibre Networks

Networking Infastructure

Whether it’s a small office, large corporate network, or anything in between, IPNET can design and install state of the art copper, fibre and wireless networks for your business.

IPNET has installed hundreds of LAN (copper/fibre) and WLAN networks over the years, ranging from a few data points within a porta-cabin, to an entire visualisation centre with many hundreds of outlets.

In many cases, our clients come to us initially for VSAT or terrestrial connectivity solutions, but then add-on additional services, most commonly with LAN and Wi-Fi networks. Typically, we provision CAT6 networks and Wi-Fi networks utilising Mikrotik networking equipment, but, as with all our services, alternative solutions can be delivered when the client's situation demands it

Network Equipment

IPNET primarily offers active networking equipment from Mikrotik. This platform provides very high specification hardware and software. It is ideal for small, medium and even larger networks. Mikrotik has solutions for copper, fibre and wireless networks, and it is our preferred active networking platform for all layer 2 and layer 3 requirements. It is extremely flexible, cost effective and reliable and is at the core of most of the networks we have delivered in Iraq over the years.

In some cases, whether as legacy equipment or a specific customer requirement, we may also provision/manage Cisco equipment. Cisco is still the defacto name in networking and for many years IPNET has supported this brand of networking equipment. Often legacy modems require interfaces only available on certain Cisco routers, but rest assured our specialists have the skills and experience to support and manage Cisco equipment.

Structured Cabling

The advantages of structured cabling are myriad. IPNET has been involved in structured cabling installations almost as long as it has been providing internet services. Cabinets, trunking, Ethernet cabling, and fibre optics are all part of the services we can offer.

In the oil and gas sector, large interlinked sites often need to move. IPNET has protocols for fixed structured cabling within mobile offices, as well as protocols for de-commissioning and re-commissioning networks when they move. The energy sector in particular relies on reliable, tried and trusted solutions as even the smallest of delays can bring about significant costs. Our methodology is tailored to keeping networks robust and practical at all times.
